The CPG 2500 is used in calibration labs and manufacturing facilities as a source for precise pressure measurement. It is used to verify the accuracy of field pressure indicators/transmitters or as a laboratory standard and wherever there is a need for a high level of pressure accuracy in manufacturing, testing and calibration of pressure instruments or gauges.
The CPG 2500 can be configured as a single or dual channel pressure indicator. The channels are pneumatically isolated so one channel can be configured with a sensor as high as 10,000 psi and the other as low as 10 in.H2O. With two channels, and 0.01% IS-50 accuracy, a percent of reading uncertainty is achievable over a wide range. An optional barometric sensor can be added internally to display barometric pressure on either channel. In addition either channel can be configured as a barometer. Pressure ranges for each channel are specified by the customer.
The advantage of 0.01% IntelliScale-50 (0.01% IS-50)
With an accuracy of 0.01% IS-50 each sensor is calibrated to give 0.01% of reading above 50% of full scale (FS) and 0.005% of FS below 50% FS. In addition, the intelliscale specification has a calibration interval of 365 days. With two channels and sensors configured so that the percent of reading portions of their ranges are contiguous, a percent of reading uncertainty is possible over a wide range for 365 days without recertification.
The manual user interface is via a 6.2 inch 640 x 240 pixel color LCD touch screen display. Navigation within the intuitive menu structure is easily learned. Recognizable touch screen icons open screens for configuration and calibration. Communicating to a remote computer is achieved through Ethernet, RS-232 or optional IEEE-488 communications. Commands and queries used for communication are the same as previous versions of Mensor digital pressure gauges.
